Futurist / Fashion Marketing: Wendy Bendoni is Professor in the business of fashion as well as an established International trend forecaster for the past two decades. She has the expertise to project local as well of global trends in the lifestyle market and has produced over 280 trend/consumer reports. Clients ranging from Nordstrom, JCPenney, Selfridges, Mercedes Benz, BCBG, Levi’s, C & A, Target, Honda, Stila Cosmetics, Esprit, The Gap, Victoria Secrets and Guess. Her credentials as fashion and lifestyle forecaster requires assisting retailers and manufacturers on developing design concepts and consumer behavior insight. In 1990, she ran Los Angeles’s FIRST fashion forecasting firm for Report West’s International division, then in 1998 she also founded the L.A. division of WGSN for over 8 years. She has since moved to retail reporting and consumer trends for StyleLens and also developed the Lifestyle division (home design) for Design-Options. She continues to develop new methods of tracking lifestyle trends through traditional means but also through utilizing analytics to monitor consumer lifestyle interest and behavior on social media.
WWDMagic: Trends Forecaster + Social Monitoring: Since 2011 Wendy has worked with the digital / social media team, blogger out-reach program and now currently working on buyer trend reports and consumer retail trends for WWDMagic, Sourcing, Platform and WSA. This past February, SOURCING at MAGIC partnered with Wendy Bendoni and Woodbury University’s Fashion Marketing Dept to research consumer behavior and its influence on textiles. From this collaboration, we’ve created a first of its kind trend report that highlights of what finished products will be comprised. MA, A.Professor and Chair of the Fashion Marketing Department, School of Business: Wendy Bendoni continues to explore market research by adding to her portfolio the Chair position in the AACSB accredited (less then 5% of the business schools in the US are accredited) Fashion Marketing program in the School of Business at Woodbury University. A.Professor Bendoni also lends her consumer trend analysis expertise to the Carl Benz Academy (Mercedes Benz of China, University of Beijing and the University of Berlin). Her research focuses on storytelling in the luxury market, digital curation, brand strategy, social and digital marketing.
